I found the mini pot at Boiling Point was pretty decent, but not really satisfying. So, a few hours later, Buddha Girl and I ventured downtown looking for Eli and Panda.
I had a Meatball Croissant. This was pretty good, even the price at $5 is good for street fare. Buddha Girl was happy and had her Cheesecake Croissant again. I mentioned to Buddha Girl that some parm cheese would be nice on it (either it didn't have it, or I couldn't taste it).
So, after walking Buddha Dog around the park to let him do his thing, I went back and had another croissant (mini pot at Boiling Point wasn't really that filling). I mentioned that it needed parm (I forgot to ask if the first one had it), and Michael (one of the owners/operators of PanDa) obliged by adding some. This tasted better, but I'd ask for more next time as I prefer a stronger taste of it. Since I ate two, you can tell that I liked it, price was good. Afterward, we headed off to visit Eli's only to find him gone already.

Wow $5 is a good deal for a meatball croissant! Too bad it has onions in it >_< don't like onions!
ReplyDeleteWHAT? You're still up? Couple hours ago on facebook you mentioned you wanted to go to sleep!!! LOL!!!
ReplyDeleteYou can ask for no onions!!! I am sure Derek/Michael could accommodate that!!! Hahaha!
LMAO I need a break from my studies...a long one 8-)
ReplyDeleteI didn't know they had savory ones! I tried the black sesame and red bean croissant over the summer and it was quite tasty.

ReplyDeleteGOOD LUCK on your exams!!! Sleep lots when you get home!!!

They also had mac n' cheese, ham & cheese (I think), and at one point (when Eli's was right beside them), they also tried a sausage one! For me...I stuck to the cheesecake one...hehehe!
