2012-01-15 Processed Food @ Chez Buddha

Our plan of waking up extremely early and have breakfast at Bakery Nouveau (then lunch at Pike Place Market) really turned out to be stepping out the door at 10am, had "brunch" at Burger King in Blaine, shopped, then off for an early dinner at Wonderful Buffet in Marysville.  Yup, not exactly the food trip we were hoping for...hahahaha!
I absolutely love corn dogs!!!  Unfortunately, most of the ones I found locally either contain beef, or "may contain beef"...so you can imagine how excited I was when I found non-beef sticks down south.
State Fair Corn Dogs Classic (right) were "batter wrapped hot dogs on a stick made with turkey and pork"...unfortunately, the links were dry and the batter was quite dense.  Foster Farms Corn Dogs (left) were "plump and juicy chicken franks dipped in honey-crunchy batter"...something that Buddha Boy and I enjoyed.  The chicken links were moist and, in comparison, the batter was much lighter and fluffier, .  The gentle honey sweetness was a tasty bonus.
You can guess who bought the White Castle Microwaveable Cheeseburgers...speechless.  This reminded of that movie, "Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle"...a very "interesting" movie...and let's just leave it at that...
Well, the box did say "microwaveable"...so that pretty much explained the quality...let's just say these were at least nicely packaged?!?!?
Smucker's Uncrustables!!!  I wanted both!!!  But my meanie husband only allowed one...grrr...
"Thaw & Eat"...simple as that.  The Peanut Butter & Strawberry Jam Sandwich tasted no different than buying a jar of each then spread the butter/jam on couple slices of white bread.  Okay, I admit, it's a gimmick and I am a sucker!  :p
